Tomball EDC Wins Gold, Silver Excellence in Economic Development Awards

DALLAS, TEXAS (September 26, 2023) – The Tomball Economic Development Corporation (TEDC) was honored with three 2023 Excellence in Economic Development Awards from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), including a prestigious Gold Excellence Award. The awards were announced at IEDC’s Annual Conference in Dallas.

TEDC received the Gold Excellence Award in the Multimedia/Video Promotion division for its “Success Stories” campaign showcasing Tomball businesses. The videos and articles feature Tejas Chocolate + Barbecue and Kinsley Armelle, highlighting their unique stories and reasons for calling Tomball home. “Success Stories” began in 2020 with written content and video was introduced in 2022.

Silver Excellence Awards were presented to the TEDC in the categories of Annual Report and General Purpose Print Promotion. The 2022 Annual Report is the sixth consecutive TEDC annual report to be recognized by the IEDC with an Excellence in Economic Development Award and the third consecutive Silver recognition. The General Purpose Print Promotion was awarded to the TEDC for its promotional folder, which was recognized the first year it was submitted for an award. The promotional folder utilizes print material to highlight economic development and business success in Tomball.
