Tomball’s distinctive culture and small-town charm, which include picturesque venues, classic boutiques, and delicious food, has made it a wedding destination. A trusted resource for all things weddings, and parties in general, Tomball-based Sip Hip Hooray specializes in personalized party favors, custom artwork, invitations, and stationery. The company’s passion for clients, community, and customization help tell Sip Hip Hooray’s unique story and explain why big things are ahead.

Sip Hip Hooray Origins and Success

Tomball native Meagan Morris started Sip Hip Hooray in 2011, utilizing her design background to create custom invitations. Morris showcased her talents on Etsy, eventually venturing beyond invitations into other specially designed wedding and party products, most notably customized koozies. If you have kept your drink cold via a koozie displaying a wedding venue or an adorable pet, chances are it was created by Sip Hip Hooray.

The creative designs and offerings helped Sip Hip Hooray ascend to the top wedding vendor on Etsy, leading Morris and her husband, Luke, to look at new opportunities for the booming business. Luke joined full-time in 2015 and Sip Hip Hooray took its enormous online presence independent with a studio and office located on FM 2920 in Tomball.

Six years later, Sip Hip Hooray has been featured in Martha Stewart Weddings, Style Me Pretty, The Knot, WeddingWire, and BuzzFeed, further expanded product lines, and established itself as the go-to place for all things weddings, parties, and hosting. A wholesale initiative launched in 2020 now has Sip Hip Hooray products in more than 550 stores worldwide, moving the company closer to its strong following.

TEDC Business Improvement Grant for Storefront

Utilizing the Tomball Economic Development Corporation’s (TEDC) Business Improvement Grant has kept Sip Hip Hooray close to its roots. Sip Hip Hooray renovated and opened a storefront in Tomball’s Old Town District in June. Located at 210 W. Main Street, Sip Hip Hooray’s store has something for everyone. Carefully designed and curated gifts for entertaining, hosting, and special surprises immerse customers.

We carry products that elevate the everyday, we are the one stop shop for parties!

Born from its roots in customization, Sip Hip Hooray preaches customer service and personal touch. This philosophy is accentuated by the face-to-face interaction the storefront generates.

“We’re better able to service customers when they come into the store, because our team can get a personal feel for what they’re wanting and needing,” offered Morris.

Tomball’s Community Appeal

The intimate nature of the store is more personal for Morris, a 2007 Tomball High School Graduate. With Sip Hip Hooray’s popularity, she and Luke could have opened their first store just about anywhere. It was important to Morris, however, that she be in Tomball to capture the hometown feel.

I’ve always loved Tomball and Main Street is very special to me, I have memories of going to the Whistle Stop Café with my grandmother when I was a kid. I really wanted to keep the store here to be a part of what’s happening in Tomball right now. Tomball is headed in a really great direction and we’re honored to be a part of it.

Tomball’s unique feel and spirit of collaboration is something that has caught the eye and heart of Meagan and Luke. From the TEDC to the Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce to other local businesses in Old Town, Sip Hip Hooray has been welcomed as a key partner. The company has reciprocated that welcoming feeling by launching Tomball-specific initiatives, such as Tomball Tuesday on social media. The weekly posts highlight a different Tomball business through a digital watercolor design and a description of the business. The couple even add their own favorites and suggestions under #SipHipRecommends.

“We enjoy Tomball’s sense of community and the feeling that we’re all in this together. Our businesses all have stories and we understand that we can do something for each other,” added Morris.

As Sip Hip Hooray settles into their Tomball store, the company’s priorities remain the things that have made it so successful. A customer-focused approach to customization and party planning, combined with a strong sense of community, continue to make Sip Hip Hooray a destination for life’s most fun and important events.
