Air

Tomball is fortunate to be served by two airports, George Bush Intercontinental Airport and David Wayne Hooks Memorial Airport.

George Bush Intercontinental Airport is the 9th busiest airport in the U.S., 7th largest international passenger gateway, is served by 17 domestic and international air carriers, and is headquarters for Continental Airlines.  For more information, click here.

David Wayne Hooks Memorial Airport is a regional airport which services chartered/FBO, general aviation, and government/military flight operations.  Hooks has a 7,000 foot runway and is one of the few privately owned airports in the U.S. to be equipped with its own FAA air traffic control tower.

Highway

Tomball has been blessed with a robust network of streets and highways to service local, regional, and national markets.  These roadways include:

Interstate 45:  Located less than 12 miles east of Tomball, this major transporation artery of Texas services markets from Dallas to Galveston.

Beltway 8:  Located less than 14 miles south of Tomball, Beltway 8 services the entire greater Houston area.

State Highway 249:  SH 249 runs straight through Tomball and services markets from Stagecoach to downtown Houston.

State Highway 2920:  This east-west thoroughfare runs straight through Tomball and connects the community to I-45 to the east and Waller/State Highway 290 to the west.

State Highway 99/Grand Parkway:  12.0 mile, four-lane, controlled access toll road with intermittent frontage roads from US 290 (Northwest Freeway) to SH 249 (Tomball Parkway) through Harris County.


Port

Rail

Tomball is serviced by Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railway.
